We have been working with and growing various clomes and species of the Genus Trichocereus for over twenty years now. This genus of cactus have been worked with as physical and spiritual medicines for millennia, primarily in the Andean highlands. We grow them primarily for their beauty and for their protective and luck bringing influence upon the places where they live. This genus, while abundant in their native habitat, are becoming less so due to climatic shifts and overharvest for the global market, and we also grow them as a way to help them to become more abundant upon the Earth.

 

Cuttings are very easily rooted and will grow well as long as they have ample water in the hot season and are protected from freezing temperatures in the cold season. A well cared for Trichocereus will easily outlive the human who plants them. They are very wise and communicative, and are really helpful in the process of getting to know other plants and in developing one’s abilities as a healer.
